My Story

I am running the Swansea Half Marathon in the hope of raising funds for “Going the Extra Mile for Cancer” charity which helps to support people attending the cancer centre in Swansea.

My mum’s close friend and Lord Mayor 25/26, Cheryl, chose to support this charity in honour of my beautiful mum, Sandra who we very sadly lost earlier this year and I wanted to help contribute on behalf of our family. 

My mum spent her life caring for other people and I know she would want us to continue to help others by supporting this charity. She was so pleased when I told her I was planning to take on this challenge. If I have just an ounce of her strength and resilience I know I’ll get over that finish line. Potentially with less knee cartilage than I started with 😂
